Hello!

How are you all?
We have spoken very much this week!! Students have learnt how to make questions like " What are you doing?, Is he painting?, Are you reading?......" They also know how to answer, of course: "I am cooking, or She is running, Yes, I am / Not, I am not". Apart from learning the verbs and how to make short sentences with them, they have learnt the personal pronouns "I, you, he, she, it, we, you, they". From now on, I will take every chance to practise them in the classroom. Next week I will teach them, in a very simple way, how to say the time: "What time is it?". They will learn only "o'clock" and "half past". This should be enough for them. We'll speak about the weather, "What's the weather like today?"...... But this will be next week.......

How was your Easter???

Hello parents and students!!
Did you have a nice Easter? I hope you did.
We will meet tomorrow after these wonderful holidays and we have to review all the actions we learnt last week. Do you remember what we do during the day?
                 When I wake up in the morning..... I wash my face,
                                                                          I comb my hair,
                                                                          I eat breakfast...........
                 When I finish school...... I eat lunch,
                                                          I do my homework,
                                                          I go to English class,
                                                          I have a shower,
                                                          I put on my pyjamas............
We have learnt to say many things that we can do:  I jump, I play football with my friends, I dance very well, I run in the park.............. And also using the "present continuous": The cat is jumping, the rabbit is running, the bird is flying........ Well, but we must have a look at all this again. We will do it this week.

Hello everybody!!

How are you all? As you can see, everything is in order now.
First of all, I want to congratulate Daniel. He has been the winner again!. The 2nd Term has finished and your children have learnt many new things. You should review with them all the worksheets they have done. In that way, they won't forget. It is also convenient that they watch the videos and sing the songs as well. Last weeks we learnt to speak about "jobs". They learnt the name of many professions and where these people work and what things they have to do in their jobs.
                                       "I work in a hospital"
                                       "I take care of patients"
                                       "I an a nurse"
                                                   ..................
We have played mimic, we have watched a video and they have drawn a beautiful picture of their favourite job. I asked the children to bring some photographs of different jobs to make a big poster for the classroom, but we couldn't because very few children brought something. Here you are a video that resumes what your children have learnt about "jobs".

Now we are studying the Daily Routines and they are going to learn many actions that will allow them to produce sentences with a higher grade of difficulty.

Buenos días a todos!
Lo primero que quiero es pediros disculpas por no haber actualizado el blog. Sí lo he intentado hacer, pero no sé por qué extraña razón, me lo traduce al español, pero a un español muy incorrecto. Lo siento, intentaré solucionarlo. La semana del 4 y 6 de Marzo sí publiqué, pero lo tradujo al español y además no salieron los videos que habíamos estado viendo en clase.
En cualquier caso, sólo quiero deciros que vuestros hijos han aprendido muchísimos adjetivos, tanto para describir la apariencia, como para describir emociones. Hemos relacionado contrarios, hemos descrito a los compañeros, hemos descrito a nuestros padres y también hemos cantado "IF YOU ARE HAPPY". Ahora estamos trabajando las profesiones.

Aquí tenéis los videos, haced que los vean en casa. Espero que para la semana que viene haya solucionado ya los problemas con el blog. Aquí tenéis los puntos de los Juegos Olímpicos.

The last week of February

I am so sorry that I couldn't attend this week. I had to travel, sorry. But it doesn't matter because I know Sonia was with you and you like her very much, don't you?
With her you learnt the place prepositions: in, on, under, in front of, behind, next to, between, above and near. You were working with different worksheets, you played a game to guess where different things were around the class. I know you enjoyed this very much. You also learnt a song about prepositions. The first two weeks of February

Hello everybody!! How are you?
I hope you have studied all the vocabulary of "Clothing" we have seen in the class during the last two weeks.
You have learnt many new words apart from the ones you had already learnt in the school. Try to remember all of them. We have done some worksheets and played Domino to work this vocabulary. We have sung a nice song and we have watched a video about the topic. I hope you have enjoyed this unit. Today I am going to teach you a Chant that, I'm sure, you will like.

Week 28th, 30th January

Hello everybody!! This week we have sung a lot. We have also studied the days of the week and we have practised many questions: "What is your favourite day? Why is Saturday your favourite day? When do you go to school? Which days do we have English class? What do you normally do at weekends?" They already know how to answer all these questions. We have worked different worksheets about the days of the week. I hope all the students will bring their homework done; it's only a very simple wordsearch.

Week 21st, 23rd January

Hello children and parents!!!!! How are you?
This week we have finished studying the parts of the body. We have added much more and the children learnt them all very well. Ask them to tell you the names. It's unbealivable how fast they learn everything. However, it is still a bit difficult for them to write them properly....
Sing this song with them!!!! They like it very much. We have also played "Simon says" touching the different parts of the body. We have taken advantage of this game, also to review some instructions which are very useful in the classroom.

Week 14th, 16th January

Buenos días a todos.
Ya hemos retomado el curso y hemos entrado a fondo en materia. Ahora estamos estudiando las partes del cuerpo. Para ello trabajamos con fichas, juegos y canciones. La canción de esta unidad es "HEAD AND SHOULDERS". No os pongo ningún video porque no he visto ninguno que me agrade, pero los niños conocen la canción y podéis pedirles que la canten en casa. También podéis preguntarles cómo se llaman las distintas partes del cuerpo en inglés, ¡conocen muchas!, ya veréis.
En esta ocasión, escribo en español porque quiero explicaros algo importante.
Necesito que el boletín de notas del primer trimestre me lo entreguéis firmado, por favor.
También deciros que todas las fichas trabajadas en la primera evaluación debéis dejarlas ya en casa, no para tirarlas, claro, pero no deben traerlas más a clase. De vez en cuando las podéis coger y repasarlas con los niños. Las fichas que vayamos trabajando en este trimestre, no se las llevarán a casa, sino que las guardaremos en la clase, cada alumno tiene una carpeta donde las iremos archivando. Al final de esta evaluación se las llevarán todas a casa y podréis ver los trabajos de vuestros hijos. De momento sólo se llevarán la ficha de los deberes los jueves, y la volverán a traer los martes.
Todo esto ya lo saben los niños, pero sé que muchas veces no se acuerdan de deciros las cosas o no saben explicaroslas.
Ante cualquier duda no dudéis en preguntarme.

¡¡¡¡¡FELIZ AÑO 2014!!!!!

Buenos días a todos.
Comenzamos el nuevo año con mucha ilusión y con ganas de aprender.
Las clases comenzarán el Jueves, día 9 de enero, con el mismo horario que en el primer trimestre.
El primer día, revisaremos lo que ya hemos estudiado durante el trimestre anterior y, a partir de la semana que viene, empezaremos a estudiar nuevos contenidos de los que iré informando todas las semanas.
Espero que todos hayan repasado las fichas y hayan escuchado las canciones...

IMPORTANTE: HUBO UN ERROR EN LOS BOLETINES DE NOTAS DEL PRIMER TRIMESTRE.
EN LOS APARTADOS MOTIVATION AND EFFORT Y ABILITY WITH LANGUAGE LA PUNTUACIÓN MÁXIMA ES 1 Y LA PUNTUACIÓN MÍNIMA ES 6. SIENTO MUCHO HABERME EQUIVOCADO. YO PUSE COMO NOTA MÁS ALTA 6 Y COMO NOTA MÁS BAJA 1. TENEDLO EN CUENTA A LA HORA DE VALORAR LAS NOTAS, POR FAVOR.
